Parent Teacher Organization

The Englewood PTO Team extends a warm welcome to you. We look forward to working with you as a parent volunteer organization to provide the best possible education for your child. We desire a family and community joint effort toward this end.

The Englewood PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization) is a vital part of our school. Its history can be traced back to 1910 with the creation of the Mothers' Club which supported the early educational efforts of the town of Englewood. Today, the Englewood PTO continues to flourish and promote education.

The Englewood PTO Team provides the leadership for the organization. The team usually meets the first Tuesday of each month with the school's administration. Membership on the team is open to anyone who would like to assist the organization meet its yearly goals. The actual organization meets periodically through the year and sponsors activities such as open house, fundraisers, and fairs.

The Ram Ramble is the PTO's major fundraiser of each school year. It is a student participation walk-a-thon. Money raised from the walk-a-thon is used to fund the PTO's yearly budget. Traditionally the PTO's budget consists of supporting technology, supplying playground needs, funding art/music classes, and purchasing classroom instructional materials.

All parents and staff of Englewood School are automatically members of the PTO. Parents are not charged any dues to belong to the organization. You are welcomed and encouraged to attend the PTO meetings and to become an active member in the life of the program at our school.
