November Newsletter
Principally Speaking
We recently received the school-wide achievement test scores from last spring. The results are really something to celebrate. They are divided into two sections which are criterion-reference (meeting standards) and value added (actual growth). The criterion-reference scores rated us above average in reading/language arts, social studies, and science. We received a top score for math. The value added section was the most encouraging for our school. We had the highest score rate of growth for reading/language arts, social studies, and science. Math indicated an average growth last year but with a positive growth indicator.
Congratulations to you for a job well done! We continue today with our efforts in achieving the goals set by the No Child Left Behind Act. It will be done by keeping high expectations for all and keeping a constant focus on the curriculum, with professional development for teachers and extra help for students.
