Principally Speaking
Welcome back to Englewood School! It is great to see you again. I hope you have had a wonderful summer vacation. I am eager to start the new school year. The teachers and I have made lots of plans during the summer to ensure you have a good start of school. I know you will have a positive learning experience this year. Again, I am looking forward to another school year with you. I wish you well this school term.
Parent Meet and Greet Schedule Change
There is a change in the "Parent Meet and Greet" we had scheduled for August 9th. The county is asking that all schools have two cookouts to enhance family engagement. The meeting times for grades P-K - 3rd grades will on August 9 from 4:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. On August 13, the cookout will be held for grades 4th - 8th grades from 4:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. Hotdogs and drinks will be available in the cafeteria.
The purpose of the class meeting will be to meet your child's teacher, to receive class information, and to ask any questions you might have about the upcoming school term. You are encouraged to bring items from the class supply list at this time. This supply list is sent home at the end of the school year. Wal-Mart usually has a copy of our supplies posted as well. The supply list can also be found at our school website at www.englewoodschool.net

On the first day of school, August 15, all students are to go to bus duty, where their teacher will come and take them to class. Kindergarten, first, and second grade students are to go to the cafeteria. Students in grades third through eighth are to report to the gym. Reminder: School starts each day at 7:55 a.m.
