Adopt-A-School Partnership

Johns Manville

Johns Manville (JM) and Englewood School are Adopt-A-School partners. We have been in partnership since 1988. Johns Manville is a world-wide producer of building materials. The Johns Manville Etowah plant produces fiberglass for commercial roofing materials and reinforcements.

The purpose of our partnership with this company is to strengthen our educational offerings through the use of community resources. Johns Manville has donated not only time and resources, but has also given thousands of dollars to purchase computers, to recognize student excellence, and to provide a wholesome working and learning environment for our teachers and students.

The real credit for the success of Adopt-A-School goes to Debbie Carver, Senior Administrative Assistant of Johns Manville. Ms. Carver has been JM's coordinator of the Adopt-A-School program for Englewood School since its inception. Ms. Carver has volunteered her time, talent, and expertise in countless ways to benefit the partnership.

It is exciting to see the partnership between Johns Manville and Englewood School as it continues to grow and to have such longevity. The program is a proven success. We appreciate the company's altruism to our school and look forward to many more years of partnering together.
